Now you can switch template/skin on TomatoCMS Demo
Posted by admin at 13:56:35 08-01-2010A few days ago, one of readers asked me for a live demo which user can switch the template and skin. That is good idea. And now, it is available on our live demo. The limit is that you only see the effect at the homepage, but it is not big problem.
As you see, all available templates and skins were listed at the top of demo's homepage.
Template switcher
The interface is simple and friendly. You can select the template (2) and then select skin (3) based on the selected template.
Also, you can click on the toggle icon (1) to show or hide the switcher.
The blog template
Developing this feature only take me an hour, so there are something we should improve:
- After switching to other template, it effects on home page only. It means that you still see the default template on other pages, article details page, for example.
- It will look more professional and friendly if we show the thumbnails of template instead of name of template
